Description

A Tasty, Interactive Toy for Curious Chewers!

Our handwoven 5 inch, hay-rope activity ball isn’t just a chewable toy—it’s an exciting foraging experience for your small pets! A delightful mix of dried calendula, dandelions and hay is packed in the middle, allowing this toy to encourage natural foraging behaviour, providing mental stimulation while your pet seeks out the tasty treats hidden inside. Rodents also love the smell of chamomile so a light spray of this scent is applied before your pet's toy leaves us.

Crafted from high-quality meadow hay (more details here), the ball is sturdy yet soft, making it perfect for gnawing and tossing around. Whether for rabbits, guinea pigs, degus, gerbils, hamsters, and similar rodents. Smaller ones like mice even love making it into a cosy nest. This forage ball offers hours of engagement while helping keep their teeth in top shape.

Hang it in their habitat or place it on the ground to let your pets interact with the ball as they push, nudge, and chew their way to the delicious herbs inside. Calendula and dandelions are not only fun to find but also great for their digestive and overall health. There is also enough slack in-between the weave for you to push in fresh treats or their favourite snacks!

Each ball is handcrafted to ensure the freshest hay is used. The texture may vary slightly due to the natural materials we work with throughout the seasons. The combination of nourishment and entertainment makes this forage ball a fantastic addition to any small pet's habitat.

Storage Notes

To keep your hay-rope forage ball fresh, store it in a cool, dry place with good ventilation, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Avoid plastic bags or sealed containers, which may cause mildew or rotting. Should any mould develop spray lightly with household vinegar before drying thoroughly. Whilst the drying is essential to prevent rotting and to reduce the vinegar smell, if your pet is sensitive to the smell a fresh coating of chamomile spray usually does the trick.
