Avoid plastic bags or sealed containers, which may cause mildew or rotting. Should any mould develop spray lightly with household vinegar before drying thoroughly. Whilst the drying is essential to prevent rotting and to reduce the vinegar smell, if your pet is sensitive to the smell a fresh coating of chamomile spray usually does the trick.
